Sabancı University Search and Rescue Club (SUAK) was established in 2023, following the earthquakes of February 6-7. The club educates its members on critical skills in any disaster situation, such as fire intervention and radio use. With the contributions of organizations like the IBB Emergency and Life Rescue team and AKUT, the club also offers first aid and triage training. Additionally, it provides theoretical-practical knowledge and experience to its members through drills and similar activities. By hosting experts and civil society organizations in seminars, the club aims to increase society's disaster awareness. One of SUAK's main missions is to establish a well-equipped search and rescue team and to make our campus self-sustaining in the event of any disaster. The club aims to nurture individuals who are beneficial to society, enhancing the capacity for effective and rapid intervention in emergencies.
