Renewed Extracurricular Student Activities Awards
Dear Members of Sabancı University,
This year, as every year, we would like to crown your events, which you carry out with great devotion, with an award through the Extracurricular Student Activities Award Ceremony. We have started preparations to make the Award Ceremony, the concept and scope of which we have recently changed, even more exciting and enthusiastic this year.
We share below the Award Categories and Criteria with you so that you can take them into consideration in your events.
We will continue to share information about details and awards with you.
We thank all the students who embody the meaning of our university's motto, "Creating and Developing Together," and who contribute to the spirit of the campus. Thank you for being a part of our community. We appreciate you.

The award categories are as follows:

1. Global and Social Issues Awareness Award | Meeting at least two of the following criteria: • Organizing events with strong attendance (+200) or many events throughout the year • Increasing the visibility of the University within the scope of Awareness about Global and Social Issues • Carrying out visibility and awareness events regarding the work carried out in the field of gender equality • Undertaking initiatives that have a lasting impact and are sustainable • Contributing to efforts in similar processes in relevant units of the university • Ranking high in national or international competitions • Fulfilling the university's goal of internationalization, we aim to organize English and multilingual events |
2. Contribution to Career Development Award | Meeting at least two of the following criteria: • Organizing career events with strong attendance (+500) or many career events throughout the year • Organizing alternative events where students can come together with career pioneers/leaders • Using financial resources in a balanced way in event organization and providing support for resource creation • Developing innovative approaches that take existing projects to the next level • Ranking high in national or international competitions • Fulfilling the university's goal of internationalization, we aim to organize English and multilingual events |
3. Contribution to Art and Cultural Life Award | Meeting at least two of the following criteria: • Organizing events with strong participation (+500) • Organizing alternative events where students can come together with pioneers who contribute to art and cultural life • Using financial resources in a balanced way in event organization and providing support for resource creation • Taking initiatives that will contribute to the promotion of the university and increasing its visibility • Ranking high in national or international competitions • Fulfilling the university's goal of internationalization, we aim to organize English and multilingual events |
4. Award for Contribution to Digitalization and Technological Development | Meeting at least two of the following criteria: • Organizing events that focus on digitalization and technological development and providing alternative learning environments • Using financial resources in a balanced way in event organization and providing support for resource creation • Designing products that will contribute to digitalization and technological development • Representing the university in the field of digitalization and technological development on different platforms • Ranking high in national or international competitions • Fulfilling the university's goal of internationalization, we aim to organize English and multilingual events |
5. Award for Contribution to Sports Culture and University Representation | Meeting at least two of the following criteria: • Receiving a medal in national or international tournaments • Being promoted to a higher league • Undertaking innovative initiatives that will increase the university participation rate in different sports branches. • Taking initiatives that will contribute to the promotion of the university and increasing its visibility. • Fulfilling the university's goal of internationalization, we aim to organize English and multilingual events |
6. Award for Contribution to Internationalization | A club will be selected from among all clubs through a survey conducted with the participation of international students. • Based on the following criteria, a club will be chosen through this survey: • Having a more inclusive approach • Encouraging the participation of international students in club management • Organizing events in English
